Adolescent Girls Livelihood and Empowerment Program (AGLEP)

Young people face large scale, complex challenges to finding productive work and employment; Young people especially adolescent girls and young women often lack the skills and experience that are essential in the workplace.

CVS-Tanzania works in the country with the highest child marriage and the teenage pregnancy rate; “REUSABLE SANITARY PAD SEWING PROJECT”  as a way to empower them while generating revenue and assessing some of these issues.

This will be expected to reduce Menstrual Hygiene Management related sex for pads business, earlier pregnancies, and abortion and HIV/AIDS infections as well as improve school attendance   and academic performances.

Our goal is to empower girls by unlocking their potential through education, life-skills, and livelihood opportunities. This enables them to fight unwanted social pressure and build healthier future for themselves.
