Our Mission

Community Volunteer Services Tanzania(CVS-Tanzania) is a Tanzania 12 members, nationally registered NGO, established as of January 2007 and finally registered Under NGO registration Act 2002, of the United republic of Tanzania, acquiring registration Number 0000NGO/2834 as of 14th January 2009.

We envision a feminist society, able to speak, defend and champion for the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Our mission is to empower and strengthen capacity of Young people to become agents of Change on SRHR in Tanzania

Where we operate:

Community Volunteer Services Tanzania (CVS-Tanzania) work to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of young people through establishing, strengthening, networking and building partnership of young people on quality access to SRH&R information, products and services to in and out of school women and girls in Tanzania. Our work is aimed at behavioral change of young women and girls, with a global goal of reducing unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortion, Sexuality transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS.

• Improved community in Health, education for marginalized and at risk women, girls and children
• Promotion of volunteer programs/ activities for sustainable livelihood.
• Promote adolescent sexual reproductive Health and Rights for in and out of school youth

We operate in the region of Tanga, Tanzania and districts of Lushoto, Korogwe, Handeni, Kilindi, Bumbuli, Mkinga, Muheza, Tanga and Pangani, Our HQ office is based in Tanga City.
Tanga region is located at longitude and latitude of 500S and 280E-490E and devided into 9 administrative districts and 11 District councils namely Tanga, Handeni, Korogwe, Muheza, Pangani, Kilindi and Lushoto ,Bumbuli and Korogwe Rural district councils. With over 60 District Designated Hospitals, majority of the local community are farmers and, fishermen and pastoralist.
